Hey there,
This week’s bug is not one bug.
It is two butterflies.
Meet Cailin and Aly, the founders of Connect, imagined as two butterflies moving through the same wild garden. Different wings, shared purpose.

Cailin was searching for alignment, a way to feel clear, grounded, and connected to herself again. Aly was moving through a more invisible transformation, learning to listen to her body through cycles of pain and healing.
Both were looking for the same thing: connection.
Connection to the body.
Connection to the mind.
Connection to joy, purpose, and the tiny living systems that help us feel whole.
That search became Connect.
From Outer Bugs to Inner Bugs
Butterflies remind us that transformation happens slowly, with the support of an entire ecosystem.
The same is true inside the body.
Our bodies are home to trillions of tiny “bugs” (bacteria, fungi, and other microbes) that live mostly in and around the gut. These microbes help support digestion, immunity, and the body’s everyday balance.
In other words, we are not just individuals. We are ecosystems.
And Connect was built with that idea in mind.
A Ritual for the Whole System
Cailin and Aly created Connect because they wanted wellness to feel more connected, not more complicated.
Their product, Flow State, is a functional drink mix designed to support both mind and body. It combines electrolytes, nootropics, and adaptogens, including mushroom-powered ingredients like Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, and Reishi.
It is caffeine-free, made without artificial colors, sweeteners, or preservatives, and created for moments when you want to feel hydrated, focused, calm, energized, and present.
Tear. Pour. Mix. Flow.
And because the outer ecosystem matters too, Connect has partnered with CleanHub so that for every bag sold, 1 pound of plastic is removed from the environment.
A small ritual for you. A cleaner ripple for the garden.
A Ritual for the Bugs Within
Connect is not a probiotic, and it is not here to “fix” your gut overnight.
Think of it more like a supportive ritual for your internal garden.
Mushrooms naturally contain compounds like beta-glucans, which researchers are studying for how they interact with gut microbes. In simple terms, certain mushroom compounds may give the tiny bugs in our bodies something useful to work with.
That matters because our inner bugs are part of how we digest, respond, recover, and regulate. When we support the ecosystem, we support the conditions for better balance.
With electrolytes for hydration, magnesium for relaxation and muscle support, L-Theanine for calm focus, and adaptogens traditionally used to support resilience, Connect is designed to nourish the whole system — not just one part of it.
A butterfly does not fly because of its wings alone.
It flies because the garden supports it.
The Butterfly Effect
Cailin and Aly’s story began with disconnection. Through healing, ritual, and curiosity, they built a brand around one simple belief:
Everything is connected.
The body.
The mind.
The microbiome.
The mood.
The community.
The planet.
So this week, as we honor the butterfly, we also honor the invisible bugs within us… the tiny organisms, daily rituals, and small choices that help us transform.
What bug-sized ritual could create a butterfly effect in your body, mind, or day?
